Technical Rider & Stage Plot

Requirements for an audience of up to 5000 indoor spectators:

  1. A concert Grand Piano (a Bösendorfer 280/280VC/290, Yamaha CFX, or Steinway D.)
  2. For the ‘Concerts for Children’ program, a wireless microphone with a mute switch & a speaker system. If the microphone is a handheld, a microphone stand at the piano is required.

Stage Plot (piano)

  1. The piano is to be positioned at CENTER stage.

Stage Plot (microphone)

  1. The microphone is to be placed at the piano for speaking purposes.

Rehearsal time & Sound check

  1. Access to stage & grand piano is required 4 hours prior to concert. Tuning of the piano prior to rehearsal start time. Piano technician to be at hand, should further assistance be required.

Dressing Room requirement:

  1. Yes

Approximate Time Length of Concerts:

  1. 60-90 minutes

Intermission included:

  1. No

Interactive (during & or question & answer period)

  1. ‘Concerts for Children’ programs are interactive. For recital programs, available for audience after the concert at a suitable location e.g. in foyer.

Video Recordings (venue)

  1. Yes, but with prior notice & set contract detailing the use & rights to the recording.

Lighting Requirements

  1. Standard solo recital lighting: focus to be on the piano. Note: keyboard must be well & evenly lit. Stage & audience, minimum brightness.
